invincible

(adj) - Someone or something that is invincible is too strong to be destroyed or defeated.

Synonyms: indestructible, bulletproof, unbeatable, untouchable, powerful
Antonyms: vunlerable, breakable, endangered
Etymology: Early 15th Century Latin, from in- meaning "not" + vincibilis meaning "conquerable," which comes from vincere meaning "to overcome" (which is also where we get the word victory)
Morphology: invincibility - n
Example: Many superheroes in movies, television, and books are supposed to be invincible.

I am a big fan of vocabulary! Why should words be dull when they can be dazzling? It is my goal for your kids to learn at least 180 impressive words this year, not just so that they will recognize and understand them, but so that they will use them.
