retroactive

(adj) - Something that is retroactive is effective as of a particular date in the past.

Synonyms: after the fact, done afterward, subsequent, in the past, postdated
Antonyms: before, previous, prior
Etymology: 1610s Latin, from retro- meaning"back" + agere meaning "to drive, set in motion" (which is also where we get the word act)
Example: Even though we already had the word debacle, I decided to make this video retroactive because... how could anyone pass up an opportunity to make "The Pachl Debacle?!"

I am a big fan of vocabulary! Why should words be dull when they can be dazzling? It is my goal for your kids to learn at least 180 impressive words this year, not just so that they will recognize and understand them, but so that they will use them.
