(adj) - If something (or someone) is subtle, it is not easy to notice or understand unless you pay careful attention.

Synonyms: barely noticeable, unobtrusive
Antonyms: obvious, “in your face,” obtrusive, blatant
Etymology: 1300 Latin, from subtilis meaning "fine, thin, delicate, finely woven," which comes from sub meaning "under" + -tilis, from tela meaning "web"

I am a big fan of vocabulary! Why should words be dull when they can be dazzling? It is my goal for your kids to learn at least 180 impressive words this year, not just so that they will recognize and understand them, but so that they will use them.
