contemplate

(v.) - If you think about something that you might do in the future, or think about something seriously for a period of time, you are contemplating.

Synonyms: consider, think about, reflect on, take in, study
Antonyms: disregard, forget, ignore
Etymology: early 1200s Latin, from com- meaning “with” + templum meaning “temple”
Morphology: noun - contemplation, adjective - contemplative
Example: I don't even want to contemplate what will happen if we slowly allow more animal species to become extinct!
