gregarious

(adj) - Someone who is gregarious is friendly, outgoing, and social, and prefers to be around other people.

Synonyms: fun, social, friendly, outgoing, sociable
Antonyms: introverted, shy, unfriendly, quiet
Etymology: 1660s Latin, from grex meaning "flock, herd," from (and plus!) PIE root *ger- meaning "to gather together, assemble" + adjective-forming suffix -ous
Example: Camryn is one gregarious 5th grade girl!

I am a big fan of vocabulary! Why should words be dull when they can be dazzling? It is my goal for your kids to learn at least 180 impressive words this year, not just so that they will recognize and understand them, but so that they will use them.
