diverse

(adj) - People or things that are diverse are very different from one another.

Synonyms: assorted, different, unlike, varying
Antonyms: alike, identical, same, congruent, similar
Etymology: Mid 13th Century Latin, from divertere meaning "to vary”
Morphology: verb – diversify, noun – diversity

Being from Montana, you probably have an idea of who a farmer is and what he does, but I'll bet you never realized what a diverse group of people farmers really are!

Gabby says... What makes my class so diverse is we all have different hobbies. We also have different reputations. Some people are reluctant of different things or some of us aren't even reluctant of anything. Some of us are xenial and gregarious and some of us aren't. But one thing we do have in common is loving words

I am a big fan of vocabulary! Why should words be dull when they can be dazzling? It is my goal for your kids to learn at least 180 impressive words this year, not just so that they will recognize and understand them, but so that they will use them. When they hear, read or say one of the following words, you should expect to hear a little cheer--go ahead, test them out if you dare!
